The KYB Excel-G rear shock for 2004–2009 Mazda 3 and 2006–2014 Mazda 5 uses a Gas-a-Just monotube design that resists aeration and fade. With separate hydraulic and high-pressure nitrogen chambers, it delivers responsive control and a comfortable ride—instant performance on demand without the fade common to twin-tube designs.
