The KYB Excel‑G rear shock for Chevrolet Cavalier and Pontiac Sunfire (1995–2005) is intended to return original ride control and handling balance. Built as a nitrogen gas‑charged, twin‑tube unit on KYB OE assembly lines, Excel‑G uses OE quality components and carries an OEA classification. To help avoid noise or vibration after replacement, KYB recommends installing new strut mounts such as SM5147.
