The KYB Excel-G rear shock for Subaru Impreza (AWD, 2004–2007) and WRX sedan (not STI) returns original ride control, stability and handling using OE-matched valving. Produced on KYB OE lines, the Excel-G is a nitrogen gas-charged twin-tube unit built from OE-quality components and classified OEA. To reduce potential noise and vibration, KYB recommends replacing strut mounts with part SM5422 when installing new shocks.
