The H&R Sport Spring for 2005–2007 Mitsubishi Lancer Evolution IX MR (MR only) is a lowering spring kit that tightens fender gaps, lowers the center of gravity and reduces body roll for sharper handling. Its progressive-rate springs are produced from shot-peened 54SiCr6 steel in a block-set design to lower ride height while preserving ride comfort. Made in Germany and a top-selling H&R option, the kit also helps reduce aerodynamic drag and can improve fuel economy slightly.
