The Prothane steering rack bushings for 1979–1984 Volkswagen Rabbit, Golf and Jetta (black) replace worn steering rack mounts to reduce play and help restore tighter steering feel. These black bushings are specified for the listed late-1970s to mid-1980s VW models and provide a direct replacement for the rack mounting points. Use them when the original rack bushings show wear; install per vehicle service guidance.
