The Edelbrock Max-Fire distributor (part #22765) is a ready-to-run unit for AMC/Jeep 290–401 V8 engines that replaces points-style distributors. CNC-machined components and a centerless ground shaft with an upper sealed roller bearing and long lower Oil-Lite bushing promote smooth operation. It includes a high-output magnetic pickup and paddle-wheel reluctor, cap, rotor, retainer and advance curve kit; a new Max-Fire coil is recommended for maximum voltage.
