The Mishimoto intercooler kit for 2017–2021 Honda Civic Type R replaces the stock unit with a larger bar-and-plate core and cast aluminum end tanks to improve charge cooling under high load. The 4.7-inch-thick core more than doubles stock volume and increases fin area significantly, aiding heat rejection. The kit includes upgraded 2.5" mandrel-bent piping and is tuned to reduce outlet air temperatures and support modest power gains with improved flow.
