The DEI Mini Versa-Shield starter shield is a 5.25 in x 16.5 in universal wrap designed to protect starters and other underhood components from heat soak. An aluminized reflective outer layer backed by hi-temp glass fiber insulation reflects radiant heat to 2000°F and resists direct heat; edges close with hook-and-loop so in most cases the starter need not be removed for installation. Trim to fit and reuse as needed on master cylinders, distributors, fuel pumps and more.
