The COMP Cams chromemoly steel retainer (7°) is CNC-machined from SAE 4140 material, black-oxide finished and profiled with a modern contoured top to reduce stress, decrease mass and allow increased lift. Engineered using 3D CAD and FEA, these retainers are dimensionally precise for positive location with COMP Cams valve springs and locks, and are specified for GM Gen III LS applications using 26915/26918 beehive springs with a stock valve stem size and 1.055" spring diameter.
