The COMP Cams 4782 locator spring seat uses a hardened-steel locating shoulder to center the seat and secure valve springs, protecting the head and shim under high RPM and heavy spring pressures. This inboard locating design avoids the significant head machining older cup-style seats required. The 4782 lists a 1.540" OD and .640" ID and is intended for use with specific COMP dual-spring combinations.
