The COMP Cams seat spacer avoids stacking .300" of shims under valve springs on Big Block Chevrolet engines by providing a precision spacer with a 1.732" outer diameter for use with 1.568" outer diameter springs. This spacer keeps spring height correct without excessive shim stacks and works alongside COMP Cams' hardened locator seats to protect the head and shim while locating the spring.
