The COMP Cams hardened steel spring seat cup protects the cylinder head and standard shims while accurately locating valve springs under extreme pressures and high RPM. This ID locator uses an inboard locating shoulder to hold the spring and resist movement that can occur in race engines. The 4700 cup features a 1.670" OD with a .640" ID and is compatible with a range of COMP valve springs for reliable seating.
