The COMP Cams 7° Tool Steel retainer is built for 11/32" stems and fits 1.290" O.D. valve springs like specified COMP spring part numbers. CNC-machined and developed using FEA and CAD, the retainer is Spintron-tested to perform reliably at elevated RPM. It provides a balance of reduced weight versus chromemoly steel and strong wear characteristics suited to demanding race-style valve train setups without overstating unlisted properties.
