The COMP Cams Tool Steel 10° retainer is a lightweight valve train component made for 1.185" outside-diameter valve springs. CNC-machined for consistent quality, it was developed with FEA and CAD and Spintron-tested to high RPM to meet demanding race use. Approximately 33% lighter than chromemoly retainers and only a few grams heavier than titanium, it balances strength, wear resistance and reduced reciprocating mass for aggressive cam profiles.
