This set includes twelve pairs of COMP Cams four-groove hardened steel valve locks sized for 3/8" stems, intended for Chrysler-style street engine rebuilds with lighter spring loads. The multiple pairs supply full head service and act to position retainer and spring until the retainer taper creates the collet effect. Proper fit requires a small gap between halves when placed on the stem to ensure correct seating.
