These COMP Cams hardened steel valve locks are two-groove locks sized for 3/8" valve stems and intended as replacement locks for stock engine rebuilds on street applications. They are recommended for lighter valve spring loads and are supplied as single pairs where indicated. Ensure the correct fit: a small gap should remain between the two halves when properly positioned; correct sizing prevents improper seating and maintains the collet effect between retainer and lock.
