These COMP Cams hardened steel valve locks are single-groove, 11/32" stem locks intended as direct replacements for stock rebuilds on street engines. They suit lighter valve spring loads and include eight pairs per set. Carefully match lock size to the valve stem: a small gap should remain between the two halves when positioned. The locks hold retainer and spring until the retainer taper creates a collet effect.
