COMP Cams 5/16" single-groove valve locks are hardened steel street locks supplied as a set of 12 with a 7° angle for single-groove valves. They serve as the retaining element that the valve retainer nests around to secure the spring and retainer during engine assembly. Compact and purpose-built, these locks match 5/16" valve stems and are intended for standard street valve spring loads.
