The JE forged flat-top right piston for Small Block Chevrolet (4.125 in. bore, 1.062 compression distance) is manufactured in the USA for demanding domestic racing applications. Constructed from 2618 aluminum, JE’s pistons use a proprietary Forged Side Relief (FSR) design to reduce skirt width and friction while saving weight. Depending on the application, skirt coatings and accumulator grooves are employed to improve wear and ring seal.
