JE Pistons chrome silicon wire wrist pin lock is a single wire lock sized 0.787 inch diameter with 0.063 inch thickness, used to retain piston pins in many shelf pistons. Wire locks spread side loads over more of the pin boss area and are considered a stronger retention method; they install by spreading and rotating into the piston pin boss. JE describes wire locks as a durable option for pin retention.
