The Edelbrock polished RPM Air-Gap intake for 1955–1986 small-block Chevrolet V8s uses an open chamber under the plenum to separate intake runners from engine heat, yielding a cooler, denser charge and strong throttle response through the powerband. It's intended for high-output street use, accepts 1976-and-later alternator and A/C brackets, and offers a polished finish for classic looks; no exhaust-heated choke or crossover provisions.
