The Edelbrock Victor Glidden Spider intake manifold was developed for high-output drag race small-block Chevy engines (375 ci and up) and was created in collaboration with racer Billy Glidden. It features pulled-back dividers to enlarge the plenum, shortened runners and wider runner entries near the plenum to improve high-rpm flow, and a 4500-series carburetor flange. This single-plane, high-rise design is aimed at maximizing power at higher engine speeds.
