The Cometic MLX 5-layer head gasket for GM LSX (right) is a multi-layer steel replacement sized for a 4.200in bore and .054in thickness, supplied for use with 1/2in and 3/8in bolts. MLX gaskets feature an integrated "stopper" layer for combustion chamber sealing and are designed to improve clamp load around the cylinder without increasing bore distortion in GM LSX engines.
