Cometic's MLS head gasket for Mazda FS-DE/FS-DET 2.0L (84.5mm bore, .075" nominal thickness) is a multi-layer steel design built for high-output engines. The gasket uses embossed stainless steel outer layers coated with Viton and an uncoated stainless shim layer to provide rebound, corrosion resistance, and consistent sealing. Compressed thickness is 0.098" and the MLS construction eliminates the need for sealants while accommodating aluminum-to-aluminum and aluminum-to-cast-iron applications for 1993–2003 Mazda FS-DE/FS-DET engines.
