Embossed outer stainless layers are coated on both sides with Viton and the center shim is uncoated stainless to allow thickness flexibility. MLS construction seals mixed head/block materials without sealants, resists corrosion, conforms the load across the sealing area and requires less clamp load to help control bore distortion.
