Cometic's MLS head gasket for Ford FE V8 engines provides a 4.250" bore with a compressed operating thickness of 0.051" and is built from multiple embossed stainless steel layers with an uncoated center shim layer. Outer layers are coated with Viton for heat resistance and sealing; MLS construction offers rebound, corrosion resistance and reduced clamp load, making it suitable for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron head/block combinations. Does not fit 427 SOHC Cammer.
