Cometic MLS head gasket for 1975–1987 Buick V6 (196/231/252) Stage I & II applications with a 4.09-inch bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.060 in. Multiple embossed stainless steel layers make up the MLS design; outer layers are Viton-coated and the center shim is uncoated stainless. It requires no sealants and suits aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron combinations, resists corrosion, and distributes clamp load to minimize bore distortion. Viton resists heat to 250°C (482°F) while AMP embossing enhances sealing.
