Cometic MLS head gasket for 1975–1987 Buick V6 (196/231/252) Stage I & II applications with a 4.09-inch bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.040 in. Multiple embossed stainless steel layers form the MLS assembly; outer faces are coated with Viton while the center shim is uncoated stainless. The gasket requires no sealants, suits aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron combinations, resists corrosion and distributes clamp load to limit bore distortion. AMP embossing and Viton coating enhance sealing and heat resistance to 250°C (482°F).
