Cometic MLS head gasket for 1975–1987 Buick V6 (196/231/252) Stage I & II applications with a 4.09-inch bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.036 in. The gasket uses multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces and an uncoated stainless center shim. It requires no sealants and accommodates aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron joints, resists corrosion, and evens clamp load to reduce bore distortion. AMP and Viton embossing improve sealing across varied surface finishes and temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
