Cometic MLS head gasket for 1975–1987 Buick V6 (196/231/252) Stage I & II applications with a 4.02-inch bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.060 in. Multiple embossed stainless steel layers form the MLS design; outer layers receive a Viton coating and the center shim is uncoated stainless. The gasket requires no sealants, works with aluminum heads to aluminum or cast-iron blocks, resists corrosion, and evens clamp load to limit bore distortion. Viton handles temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
