The Cometic MLS head gasket for 1992–1996 GM LT1 small block V8 (4.100" bore) features a .051" compressed operating thickness in a multi-layer stainless steel assembly. Embossed outer layers are Viton-coated for high-temperature sealing without sealants, while an uncoated center shim allows thickness control. The MLS construction improves strength, rebound and corrosion resistance and is suitable for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron head/block applications.
