Cometic MLS head gasket for Chrysler R3 race block with a compressed operating thickness of 0.036 in (nominal .075 in uncompressed) and a 4.100 in bore, for W7, W8 and W9 heads. This multi-layer steel gasket seals high-output engines without sealants and is suitable for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron assemblies. Embossed outer layers coated in Viton resist corrosion and high heat while the uncoated stainless shim enables thickness control. The design reduces clamp load, minimizes bore distortion and evens load distribution across the sealing area.
