The Cometic MLX cylinder head gasket for Chevrolet Gen-1 Small Block V8 (4.220 in bore, 0.044 in compressed thickness) combines multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer layers and an integrated stopper layer. That stopper improves combustion chamber sealing and increases clamp load around the cylinder while minimizing bore distortion. The gasket is supplied to work with All Pro heads and requires no sealants or re-torque.
