Cometic's MLS cylinder head gasket for Ford Windsor V8 289/302/351 engines is specified with a 4.155" bore and 0.080" compressed thickness to seal high-output engines without sealants. Its embossed stainless outer layers are Viton-coated for heat and corrosion resistance, while the uncoated stainless center shim controls thickness. Suitable for aluminum heads on aluminum or iron blocks, it evens sealing load and lowers clamp load to help prevent bore distortion.
