Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM LS Gen-3/4 small-block V8 engines with a 3.910-inch bore and 0.098-inch compressed thickness. The gasket stacks embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces to seal high-output engines without sealants. An uncoated center shim permits thickness tuning; MLS construction evens load distribution, withstands aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron shearing, reduces required clamp load and limits bore distortion. Viton coating is rated to 250°C (482°F).
