Multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces provide a durable seal without extra sealants. The uncoated center shim allows thickness variation; MLS design conforms load across the sealing area, copes with dissimilar material shearing, limits clamp load and reduces bore distortion. Viton coating resists heat to 250°C (482°F).
