Multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces deliver reliable sealing without additional sealants. An uncoated center shim lets thickness be tailored; MLS construction handles aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron interfaces, resists corrosion and shearing, and requires less clamp load to reduce bore distortion. Viton coating is heat resistant to 250°C (482°F).
