Outer embossed stainless layers are coated both sides with heat-resistant Viton while the center shim is uncoated stainless for thickness tuning. Compressed operating thickness is 0.036" and the construction reduces clamp load requirements, resists corrosion and rebounds to maintain the seal under stress.
