The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM Gen-V/VI Big Block V8 engines combines multiple stainless layers for durable sealing in performance applications. This .098" compressed thickness with a 4.540" bore installs without sealants and suits aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast-iron mating surfaces. Embossed outer layers are coated both sides with Viton to resist heat to 250°C (482°F). The uncoated center shim allows thickness adjustments, evens load distribution and reduces bore distortion.
