The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM Gen-V/VI Big Block V8 engines uses multiple embossed stainless layers for durable sealing. This .075" compressed thickness with a 4.540" bore is supplied for demanding, sealant-free joints. Outer layers are coated both sides with Viton to withstand temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). The uncoated shim layer can be varied for thickness requirements, promoting even clamp load distribution and helping reduce bore distortion in service.
