The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM Gen-V/VI Big Block V8 engines features multi-layer stainless construction for high-output sealing. This .056" compressed thickness with a 4.540" bore installs without sealants and is suitable for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast-iron mating surfaces. Embossed outer layers are coated both sides with Viton to tolerate temperatures up to 250°C (482°F). An uncoated stainless shim layer allows thickness variation and improves load distribution while reducing bore distortion.
