This .054" compressed thickness and 4.540" bore is supplied for applications that require a sealant-free head gasket. Outer embossed layers are coated both sides with Viton for heat resistance to 250°C (482°F). The uncoated shim layer can be adjusted for thickness needs, helping distribute clamp load evenly and reduce bore distortion.
