This .038" compressed thickness with a 4.540" bore seals reliably without additional sealants. Outer embossed stainless layers are coated both sides with Viton for heat resistance to 250°C (482°F). A central uncoated stainless shim allows thickness customization, evens load distribution across the seal area and helps reduce bore distortion under clamp load.
