The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM Gen-V/VI Big Block V8 engines is a multi-layer steel solution for high-output sealing. This .032" compressed thickness and 4.540" bore installs as a no-sealant gasket for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast-iron interfaces. Embossed outer stainless layers carry Viton coating on both sides for heat resistance up to 250°C (482°F). A central uncoated stainless shim allows thickness variation, evens clamp load and helps limit bore distortion.
