The Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM Gen-V/VI Big Block V8 engines is a multi-layer steel gasket engineered to seal high-output V8 applications. This .086" compressed thickness with a 4.375" bore installs as a no-sealant solution for demanding mating surfaces. Embossed outer stainless layers are coated both sides with Viton for heat resistance to 250°C (482°F). An uncoated stainless shim layer permits thickness variation, helps distribute clamp load and reduces bore distortion across the sealing area.
