The Cometic MLS head gasket for GM LS Gen-3/4 small block V8 (4.160 in bore) is a multi-layer steel cylinder head gasket with a compressed operating thickness of 0.098 in. It seals high-output engines without sealants and works for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-cast-iron setups. Equipped with HP shim technology to increase clamp load near the combustion chamber, the gasket uses embossed stainless layers coated with Viton and an uncoated center shim to resist corrosion, rebound under load, and distribute sealing load.
