An uncoated center shim permits thickness variation; MLS construction evens load distribution, withstands aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron shearing, reduces clamp load needs and helps reduce bore distortion. Viton coating resists temperatures up to 250°C (482°F).
