Cometic MLS cylinder head gasket for GM LS Gen-3/4 small-block V8 engines with a 4.130-inch bore and 0.027-inch compressed thickness. The gasket stacks embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces to seal without additional sealants. An uncoated center shim permits thickness variation; MLS construction evens clamp load distribution, tolerates shearing between aluminum and iron components, reduces required clamp load and helps minimize bore distortion. Viton coating resists heat up to 250°C (482°F).
