Cometic MLS head gasket for Chevrolet Gen‑1 Small Block V8 engines (4.060-inch bore) with 18° or 23° heads, round bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.120 in. Multiple embossed stainless layers form the MLS assembly; outer faces are Viton-coated while the center shim is uncoated stainless. It requires no sealants, tolerates aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron pairings, resists corrosion, and evens clamp load to limit bore distortion. AMP embossing and Viton enhance sealing and heat resistance to 250°C (482°F).
