Cometic MLS head gasket for Chevrolet Gen‑1 Small Block V8 engines (4.060-inch bore) with 18° or 23° heads, round bore and compressed operating thickness of 0.086 in. The gasket uses multiple embossed stainless steel layers with Viton-coated outer faces and an uncoated stainless center shim. It requires no sealants and is suitable for aluminum-to-aluminum or aluminum-to-iron combinations, resists corrosion, distributes clamp load to limit bore distortion, and benefits from AMP embossing and Viton heat resistance to 250°C (482°F).
